THE NEW YORK POST: County officials statewide opposed to Gov. Kathy Hochul’s mask mandate called it “silly,” “misguided” and “unenforceable” on Tuesday — with one rejecting it as “Gestapo tactics” and another saying “we’re not going to become the mask police.”

Since Hochul announced her order on Friday, leaders in 13 Republican-controlled counties have publicly refused to force businesses that don’t require vaccination for admittance to make workers, customers and visitors wear masks.

Among the counties resisting Governor Hochul’s mask orders are: Rockland, Orange, Putnam and Dutchess Counties (NYC suburbs), Greene County, Saratoga, Genesee, and Orleans Counties.

THE GATEWAY PUNDIT: The Pennsylvania Supreme Court on Friday struck down a statewide mask mandate. The court said Acting State Health Secretary Alison Beam did not have authority to mandate that students had to wear a mask in school.

WORLD NET DAILY: Republican Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis is proposing the restoration of a WWII-era force to protect the state. DeSantis is calling for the return of the Florida State Guard, a civilian volunteer force that will assist the National Guard, according to a release posted on the governor’s website. DeSantis is seeking $3.5 million in his upcoming budget to establish the force. The funding would support training for those who join, the release said.

DeSantis noted that Florida is not alone and that 22 other states currently have some form of state guard that is recognized by the federal government. The Florida State Guard would not be “encumbered by the federal government,” DeSantis said, according to CNN. The force would be made up of 200 volunteers.

THE NEW YORK TIMES: A federal judge issued a preliminary injunction on Tuesday to halt the start of President Biden’s national vaccine mandate for health care workers, which had been set to begin next week.

The injunction, written by Judge Terry A. Doughty, effectively expanded a separate order issued on Monday by a federal court in Missouri. The earlier one had applied only to 10 states that joined in a lawsuit against the president’s decision to require all health workers in hospitals and nursing homes to receive at least their first shot by Dec. 6 and to be fully vaccinated by Jan. 4.

“There is no question that mandating a vaccine to 10.3 million health care workers is something that should be done by Congress, not a government agency,” Judge Doughty, of U.S. District Court for the Western District of Louisiana, wrote. He added: “It is not clear that even an act of Congress mandating a vaccine would be constitutional.”

THE GATEWAY PUNDIT: On Wednesday, Ursula Van Der Leyen – the chief of the European Union (EU) Commission –told the press that she would like to see the long-standing Nuremberg Code ignored completely in favor of allowing countries to force vaccinate anyone who is refusing to take the experimental jab.

Her alarming comments come just days after Germany followed Austria’s lead, mandating an authoritarian lockdown on only the unvaccinated.

How strange that this German woman, who would readily denounce the Nazis, would so readily seek the legal means to impose a nationwide oppression, that may eventually surpass anything attributed to the Nazis.

THE GATEWAY PUNDIT: A couple weeks ago German Chancellor Angela Merkel announced large parts of public life will be limited for the unvaccinated. Austrian Chancellor Alexander Schallenberg previously announced he is placing millions of unvaccinated people on lockdown. In the meantime, German national and EU Commissioner, Ursula Van Der Leyen, is campaigning for European governments to ignore or abandon the Nuremburg Codes, which forbid involuntary vaccinations of those peoples, whose nations are signatories to the 1947 document. Strange how these governments condemn Nazism, and yet they seem to want the legal tools that will one day make the Nazis look benign in comparison.

THE GATEWAY PUNDIT: The US Supreme Court on Monday refused to grant relief to hospital workers at Mass General Brigham, a Boston-based healthcare facility.

Far-left Justice Breyer, who oversees complaints for the First Circuit, rejected the request for an emergency injunction with no explanation.

Justice Breyer and the SCOTUS conduct should come as no surprise here: it was Breyer and his peers, who began deconstruction of 5th Amendment protections, when they ruled in Kelo v. New London (2005) that a city or state could use eminent domain to take private property from citizens and award it to private developers, for other than public use – the developer in that case was: PFIZER.

THE GATEWAY PUNDIT: The Oklahoma National Guard announced last weekend they will not impose Biden’s COVID vaccine mandate. Army Brig. Gen. Thomas Mancino wrote in a memo that “no negative administrative or legal action will be taken” against anyone who doesn’t get the vaccine. Mancino took command of the OK National Guard, after Governor Kevin Stitt removed his predecessor, who had tried to enforce the Pentagon decree. In response, the Pentagon has stated that it will downgrade the OK Guard to the status of “State Militia”. This is not much of a threat, considering how Biden has downgraded the Pentagon, from a world-respected military organization, to laughing stock of the world, under Defense Secretary Lloyd Austen – Oklahoma and other states might be better off, NOT being affiliated with the Pentagon’s “woke” brand of training.

A sad sack of an illegitimate President labelled him a ‘racist’ for political gain; his Jezebel Vice-President implied that the jury’s decision that Kyle Rittenhouse was Not Guilty, was somehow unfair – unfair to Joseph Rosenbaum, a homosexual predator of children; unfair to Anthony Huber, a psychotic felon who threatened to kill members of his family; and unfair to Gaige Grosskreutz, who attempted to murder the teen, but had part of his arm shot off, when Rittenhouse proved to have quicker reflexes. The Bolshevik media would have us believe that the world is a sadder place without Rosenbaum and Huber, but an impartial American jury saw through the prosecution’s sick worldview and acquitted Rittenhouse. THE NEW YORK POST: White House chief of staff Ron Klain helped derail the Biden administration’s latest vaccine mandate in court. A Sept. 9 retweet from Klain was cited as a key piece of evidence in the blistering ruling issued Friday by the 5th US Circuit Court of Appeals in New Orleans, which paused President Biden’s “staggeringly overbroad” rule forcing COVID-19 vaccines on millions of American workers. Klain retweeted MSNBC anchor Stephanie Ruhle, who praised Biden’s mandate — via the federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration — as “the ultimate work-around” to avoid the US Constitution.

Circuit Judge Kurt Engelhardt characterized the retweet as a White House “endorsement of the term ‘work-around’” — leading the panel to block the mandate on just those legal grounds. “The public interest is … served by maintaining our constitutional structure and maintaining the liberty of individuals to make intensely personal decisions according to their own convictions,” Engelhardt wrote.
