
Russian forces have swept out a corridor along the Sea of Azov, that extends about 60 miles (nearly 100 kilometers) inland, from Vasylivka to Donetsk. Ukrainian forces are still disputing control of the coastal city of Mariupol, but Russian forces there are steadily reducing the Ukrainian perimeter. North of Kherson, Russian forces have shifted their efforts from advancing northwest along the Bug River, to advancing northeast toward Bashtanka and Bereznehuvate. A Ukrainian-held salient separates that effort, from another Russian force advancing in the direction of Kryvyi Rih.
